ALGARVE · SINCE 2021
Markus Böhler observes what others overlook. Casual, everyday scenes from the Algarve — a market, an alley, a quiet bench — become multi-layered images where photography, colour and handwritten text quietly converse.
Two bodies of work carry this hand: one-of-a-kind Gelliprints drawn from the street, and analog collages built from old paper. A calligraphy layer runs through both — a second voice, an invitation to look closely.
